West Ham agree big-money deal with Al Hilal for Summerville

West Ham have reached an agreement with Al Hilal for the sale of Crysencio Summerville.

Roma had been trying to strike a deal with West Ham for the Netherlands international.

It is understood a £39m (€46m) proposal for Summerville from the Serie A club was rejected on Monday.

News of Al Hilal's late bid for Summerville was first reported by Sky in Italy's Gianluca Di Marzio earlier on Tuesday afternoon.

The Saudi club's offer - worth nearly double Roma's first proposal of £39m - was quickly accepted by West Ham.

If the move goes through, Summerville will be the third-highest sale in West Ham's history behind Declan Rice and Mateus Fernandes.

The Hammers, who were relegated to the Championship, will have raised more than £150m from Summerville and Fernandes this summer once this sale is completed.

Manchester United were among the Premier League clubs with an interest in Summerville.

However, nothing progressed beyond initial, exploratory talks as any move for the winger was dependent on Marcus Rashford being sold this summer.

Summerville played 34 times for West Ham in 2025/26, scoring seven goals and assisting another five.

The 24-year-old then featured in all four of the Netherlands' matches at the 2026 World Cup, scoring two goals and assisting two more.
